Chris Robertson's art is a world that is stark and nearly bare in form, but brimming with immediate life. Co-founder and printer at Moniker, he and katie green have been the local screenprinting solution for several years now. Combining his passion for printmaking and mixed media painting. He creates a fine balance of memories, metaphor and imagination. Seeking to push the boundaries of poor taste and awkward scale, he is constantly reinventing the possibilities of whatever media he can get his hands on. Recycled canvas, salvaged wood, inks and paint are his means of creation, and as long as people are willing to throw away perfectly good garbage, he will continue to create art. Having spent the last two years carving an oeuvre of woodcuts he is looking forward to a new body of work to have a nervous breakdown over.
